Celeste Whitaker
Managing Member

Celeste has a post-graduate diploma in Management from Wits Business School, extensive experience in event management, and is accredited as a Certified Meeting Professional® (CMP). The foremost certification of the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry, and a global qualification accrediting 14 000 individuals in 36 countries and territories, the CMP programme recognises individuals who have achieved the industry's highest standard of professionalism.

Celeste began her career in the events industry in 1991, at Computer Faire, South Africa’s largest Information and Technology exhibition, part of the TML Reed stable. She thrived in the events environment and was promoted numerous times over the next nine years, to reach the position of general manager of TML Reed’s Gauteng, Cape and KwaZulu-Natal events.

In August 2000, Celeste started Fizz Marketing, harnessing the experience she’d built up over the years and offering clients a specialist events management service.

Yvette Jacobs
Event and Décor Consultant

Yvette joined Fizz Marketing in 2004, with exceptional organisational skills. Previously, Yvette was a top sales achiever at Stuttaford Van Lines Mpumalanga and Pretoria, and has managed her own retail business. She is currently an event and décor consultant to Fizz Marketing.

Thabile Mdletshe
Event Planner

Thabile joined Fizz Marketing in 2006 and brings strong events coordination skills to the team. She has a diploma in Hotel Management from the Cape Technikon Hotel School, and has worked at a number of South Africa’s leading hotels in various positions, most recently as a banqueting coordinator at The Westcliff Hotel. Thabile recently obtained a Certificate in Conference, Exhibition and Event Management from Damelin.

Rocaline Dube
Assistant Event Planner

Rocaline Dube joined Fizz Marketing on the 1st August 2011. Rocaline has a certificate in Events management from INTEC College, and has always been passionate about working in the events industry.

She has worked in the events industry since 2001 and has experience in all aspects of event management.

Mary Van der Merwe
Financial Manager & Assistant Event Planner

Mary joined Fizz Marketing in 2008, and is responsible for all the financial and administration aspects of the business. She has extensive experience in finance and administration, and has been in the events management business for five years.
